"Walk On Boss"

April 28, 2003
Dr. John,

I'm the boss and my employees walk all over me. How do I rectify this problem without too much animosity on the job site.

Walked on Boss

Dear Just About Had It,

If you feel your employees are walking all over you, perhaps the best thing to do would be to get some training in managing people. There are numerous books on this subject and many workshops and seminars available, either from independant providers or from business schools and community colleges. Without knowing the specifics of your situation it is hard for me to advise you with any more concretely than that.

If you can provide a couple of examples of situations where you have felt walked on I might have a clearer idea of the challenges you are facing.

Dr. John
