People in the office are making off-the-wall comments like "What does she do all day" or "she does nothing"!
July 2005 Dear Office-Politics, I work in a small office where I have been the secretary,
do it all, know-it-all, type of person. Lady-in-Waiting Dear Lady-in-Waiting, But six months is a long time to languish for someone used to being in the thick of things. Secretaries often have to wait for orders; you're no longer in that spot. You probably have a better picture of what your new job could/should
be than your superiors. How about drafting your own job description?
Match the organization's needs with what you are currently doing, what
you like to do and can do. Step up by thinking not only about your individual
effort, but about the needs of your team - and of the organization as
a whole. Betsy Raskin Gullickson
